What low testosterone does
Testosterone runs more than sex drive. It supports muscle, bone, mood, focus, sleep and how your body uses energy. Levels drift down with age, and for some men they drop faster or earlier. The change is gradual enough that most men write it off until a wife, a doctor or a mirror says something.
The fix is not complicated. Replace what is missing, in the right amount, and keep it steady.
Two ways we treat it
Testosterone pellets. Placed under the skin in a short office visit, they release a steady dose for months. No weekly routine, no peaks and crashes. Many men choose pellets for exactly that reason.
Testosterone injections. Weekly or every other week, in our office or at home once our provider shows you how. Flexible dosing and easy to adjust.
Which one is right depends on your labs, your schedule and what you prefer. We will lay out both at your consultation.
Labs first, every time
Your plan starts with a blood panel drawn in our St. Matthews office, usually at the free consultation. It tells us where your testosterone sits and what else is going on. Levels are rechecked after you start and at regular intervals after that, so your dose is tuned to current numbers rather than a guess from months ago.
If erectile dysfunction is part of the picture, hormones are often the first thing we address. Here is how we handle ED and sexual wellness.
Straight talk
Testosterone therapy is a medical treatment with real benefits and real considerations. Our provider will go over both plainly, watch your labs, and adjust or stop if that is the right call. You are a patient here, not a subscription.
