1. The free consultation
You sit down with our provider for about thirty minutes and talk about what has changed: sleep, energy, mood, drive, focus, the things you have stopped mentioning because everyone said it was just age. We ask about your history and your goals. There is no charge and nothing to decide that day.
2. Labs, drawn right here
If it makes sense, we draw a hormone panel in the office, often at that same first visit. No referral, no lab across town, no waiting weeks. Results come back in a few days and our provider goes over them with you line by line. If your numbers are fine, we tell you that too.
3. Your plan and the pellet visit
If your labs and symptoms point to hormone therapy, our provider builds a dose for you. For most patients that means bioidentical pellets from an accredited compounding pharmacy. At the insertion visit the area, usually the upper hip, is cleaned and numbed. A tiny opening is made, the pellets are placed just under the skin, and a small bandage goes on. It takes a few minutes. You drive yourself home and go about your day, with a short break from soaking baths and hard workouts while the site heals.
Men who prefer injections can choose those instead, in the office or at home once shown how. More on options for men.
4. Recheck and adjust
Pellets release a steady dose for several months. Before each new round we recheck your levels so the next dose reflects where you actually are, not where you were last time. Most people settle into a rhythm of a few visits a year. Between visits, you can always call.
Why we do it this way
Two people with the same symptoms can have very different numbers, and the same person's numbers change. Dosing from labs, every round, is what keeps hormone therapy steady and safe. It is more work for us than handing out a standard dose. It is also the only way we are willing to do it.
