What hormone therapy for women actually is
Through your 40s and 50s, and earlier after a hysterectomy or with certain conditions, estrogen, progesterone and testosterone fall off. The symptoms that follow get blamed on age, stress or "just life." Hormone therapy replaces what your body stopped making, in a form that matches your own hormones, so you feel like yourself again.
At Restorative Health we use bioidentical hormone pellets as the foundation for most women, with injections or other forms when they fit better. Pellets release a steady dose for months at a time. No daily pills to remember, no patches, no peaks and valleys.
Why we start with labs, not guesses
Two women with the same symptoms can have very different numbers. That is why your first visit includes a hormone panel drawn right here in the office. Our provider reads it with you, explains what each value means, and only then recommends a plan. You will never be put on a one-size dose.
What a pellet visit is like
The area, usually the upper hip, is cleaned and numbed. The provider makes a tiny opening, places the pellets just under the skin, and covers it with a small bandage. The whole visit takes a few minutes and you drive yourself home. Most women are back to normal activity the same day, with a short break from soaking baths and hard workouts while the site heals.
We recheck your levels after the first round and before each one that follows, so your dose is always based on current numbers.
Who this is for
Women in perimenopause and menopause, women who have had a hysterectomy or ovaries removed, and women whose labs show low levels earlier than expected. It is also for the woman who has been told "everything looks normal" but does not feel normal. Come in, let's look at the actual numbers.
Hormone therapy is not right for everyone, and our provider will say so if your history points another way. The consultation is free either way.
